This semester we will be working on our concentration.

AP Drawing
1. Discuss your concentration ideas w/ teacher for approval.
2. Hone your concentration list down to one idea ( 2 if you are not sure).
3. Do some visual inspiration research on artists who are doing work similar to what you are interested in doing. Pin inspirations to your pinterest board for reference.
4. Decide what media you would like to start in. Although you do not have to stick to one media, it is recommended that you stay close to one for unity.
5. Work out thumbnails for your first 3 pieces, begin collecting visual references for your ideas.
Your first 2 concentration pieces will be due on: Tues, JAN 22, 2013
C3 & C4 are due on Mon, Feb 4
VASE
Regional VASE is right around the corner ( Sat, FEB 9th) & registration is upon us, you must commit to your # of pieces by this Thurs. Jan 10th. Each entry will cost $15 & I will provide transportation- yellow dog:). Remember VASE follows UIL grade guidelines, so you must be passing all of your classes in order to go ( there are no refunds unfortunately). Entries must be finalized w/ title & medium by Jan 30th. I hope you will all participate as it is a wonderful opportunity for all high school artists!
